My husband and I met while working together and instantly knew we were a love match.  Our connection was strong from the beginning and although we tried long distance (I lived in NYC for a short period), we couldn¹t be apart from each other for long. 

On June 13, 2005 (a year from the date that I returned from New York), John told me that he won tickets to an Angels' game and that I should meet him after work.  I agreed and when we met to eat dinner, he pulled me into his car and blindfolded me.  After about twenty minutes, we finally arrived at our destination Long Beach airport.  He took the blindfold off and played the exact song that he played for me the day be picked me up from the airport after I returned for good from living in NYC.

He then told me how happy he was that day and how he knew then that we would be together forever.  We then drove over to Seal Beach (where I grew up) and John walked me down to the sand. The entire experience was so surreal because we were reliving our first date.  He walked me over to a quiet area and started telling me how much he loved me and he wants to spend the rest of his life with me. 

AND THEN he got down on one knee, took out the most beautiful platinum ring, and asked me to be his wife.  In fact, I had to later ask him to repeat what he said because I was so hypnotized by this amazing platinum and diamond ring.  I said yes, he put the ring on my finger and the rest is history.  It truly was the platinum engagement experience!
